Euphorbia is an album that I wrote after researching my family name. I discovered two people I felt strong connections with after reading about their lives, Annie Hooper (2/26/1897-1/11/1986) and Bishop John Hooper (3/1/1495-2/9/1555.) The album was written and recorded during a time of social hypocrisies coming to light. With tracks utilizing a prepared acoustic guitar adorned with chopped up vocal narratives to depict the ascension of Jesus Christ and an orchestral pop-ballad about Bishop John Hooper, a Protestant martyr who was executed by "Bloody Mary" in 1555 for being married, interlaced with quick, lo-fi soul/pop tracks.

When so many of us are casting hexes on people, I wrote an album to preserve the light.
